Optimization

Optimizing your images for web use is an important process that should not be overlooked. If something is using more bandwidth than needed, such as an image that is 90k is size which could easily be 35k after optimizing it, just ends up costing you money that should have been part of your profit!

Things such as resizing, resampling and compression all affect the byte size of the image. ( You can find out more about how to do this by visiting the AdultNetSurprise Graphix Zone as they have online tutorials that deal with this as well as many other image related things. )

The only thing I would also like to include in this is that there IS such a thing as TO MUCH compression/optimization. An image can be manipulated considerably without a negative impact on the original images appearance. If you save byte size but sacrifice to much visual quality, you can inadvertently save a little money on your bandwidth but lose a lot of money on your sales. Such as with everything, there is a fine balance that needs to be observed.
